First Ever Productivity Enhancement Programme Begins at GCOE Jammu The Dependent Bureau, Jammu: The First ever Productivity Enhancement Programme (PEP) begins at the Govt. College of Education, Jammu. Honourable Secretary Janab Talat Parvej Rohella, Higher Education Department, UT of J&K has recently launched four new schemes for the department which includes Productive Enhancement, Employability Skills, Induction Programme and IT Domain. Productivity Enhancement Programme is a special programme designed to increase the productivity of faculty members of the Higher Education Department. This course includes time management, effective handling of stress at work place, organising self, attitudinal shift, decision making, relaxation and clarity of mind through meditation, instilling a sense of responsibility towards the institution, students and colleagues. Secretary Higher Education Janab Talat Parvez Rohella is the pioneer in revolutionising the Higher Education Department by launching initiating several training schemes for teachers and students. Dr. Sameru Sharma, Principal GCET is the Nodal Officer for the new schemes and Govt. College of Education is the Nodal College to initiate this programme. This is the first pilot batch of 30 faculty members from cluster colleges of Jammu. Welcoming the guests and participants Dr. Sangita Nagari, Principal GCOE, stated that Honourable Secretary has given new dimensions to the department and such a training to the teachers will foster their productivity further in respect of their contribution towards their institutions. This programme is being conducted by The Art of Living Organisation, Bengaluru. Ms. Harveen Sukhija (State Teachers Coordinator, Delhi NCR) and Mr. Yogesh Gaur (State Teachers Coordinator, J&K), Ms. Sukhriti were the resource persons on the occasion. This is a six days training programme. Mr. Ajay Kapoor ( State Coordinator - DDC, Media and Govt. Projects, J&K Art of Living), Dr. Simmi Dutta (HOD Computer, GCET) and Dr. Shubhra Jamwal , GCOE is the overall incharge and Nodal officer of the course.Vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Seema Kumari. Dr. Zubair Kales, Prof. Neelam Dhar, Prof. Satish, Prof. Suman Bala, Prof. Shapia,Shameem, Prof. Kashab Kumar were also present on the occasion.
